About Me ...

this is me. I’m based in Cheshire, I’m in my thirties and I think I’m probably what is nowadays called ‘a people person’. My great loves in life include music, good vegetarian food, a nice glass of wine and the company of good friends ... and, of course, photography!

My kind of photography is about people; I always aim to capture natural, relaxed images, the ones that capture the personalities in the image or the atmosphere of the occasion.

I am told that I have a natural ability to make people feel relaxed in front of the camera and that I’m able to capture their personality and character very quickly during a shoot. This has led me to develop the business portraits or ‘headshots’ side of the business which I thoroughly enjoy. Everyone in business now needs a flattering but honest portrait of themselves for their online presence and also for corporate brochures. I also offer conference photography on it›s own or part of a package including headshots.

I feel fortunate that I have been able to combine my love of music with my passion for photography. I have had the opportunity to create images that capture the energy on stage and the rapport between artist and audience that makes each performance memorable.

What people say about me...

Our industry group conference had tried for two conference years to find a photographer who could catch the mood of our conference and we failed miserably. This year we hired Kirstie to take some head shots for our new website, she has got the magic touch, she managed to get a great shot of every vain ego in the team. Its never been achieved before. We then asked Kirstie to cover the conference and same again, brilliant shots which perfectly capture the mood of the conference. Kirstie is likeable, personable, moves around like shes not there and produces brilliant photographs. We have already booked her for next year. I would not hesitate in recommending her.

Having just used Kirstie for a very special event I can tell you that when you need to capture something unique you really need someone reliable, someone who can capture those magical moments, you need someone that is easy to talk to and understands what you want. You need a true artist who isn't afraid to get in with the action, but is somehow invisible. You need someone who can deliver your photos on time and someone who is a real professional. In short, you need Kirstie Hunt.

As someone who regularly has to suffer photo shoots, both live and in the studio, it's always been a dread for me until, that is, Kirstie Hunt came along. She has a way of capturing a moment, the light, the ambience in the most unobtrusive way a photographer possibly could. As I have told her many times now, I don't want to be photographed by anyone else! Kirstie has the eye.
